7x1. Brazil shameful result in the game against Germany is the realizatrion of a revenge.
Raymond Whelan - whom Fifa has granted exclusivity in selling VIPs tickets for the Cup - was arrested on Monday 7, the eve of the game.
Just picture yourself in his skin: the police invading your room in the Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro!
You leave the most famous Brazilian hotel - certainly fully booked - arrested. After 10 hours under the police grip, you have to come back to the hotel and pick up your passport, to render it to the authorities.
Though not on the front page, your image does go to the papers, big size.
Banco do Brasil alone, said Folha de S.Paulo, bought R$ 6.4 million in tickets from Match, the company run by Mr. Whelan. The paper also reported that Fabio Barucke, the police officer in charge of the case, gathered proof that Whelan has close liasion with an international gangster, stamping dialogues that are, allegedly, transcripts from phone calls between those two men.
Brazilian papers, while vastly reporting the police case, did not place a word of it on the same page pointing to the game that has become - suprisingly to so many... - the most ridiculous in the history of football.
Much of the discourse all around is power-oriented. Our texts, rather, will be appreciated by those brave enough to leave the good life of obedience in order to grow and take risks for the benefit of a multitude of others. Welcome! PORTUGUÊS acesse "apresentação do blog" abaixo
