WHAT CHRIST IS STILL ASKING HIMSELF AS TO HIS DEATH

THE CORE OF THE TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HOLDS AN ASTONISHING CONTRADICTION. YOU HAVEN'T SPOT IT YET, I BET.

EVEN THOUGH aware that my wonders about the matter are repproachable by the Holy Catholic Church of Rome, I could not hold myself. Besides the Church, it is likely that many people cannot find any sense in the issues I am about to address.

But they refer to legitimate questions of faith, despite considered threatening to that specific group of religious authorities. These say God is first; but they repeatedly fail to honor that. By condemning debate or the expression of ideas contrary to their immediate interests, they push God aside and come to the fore solely worried about the status quo that favors them.

The story of the Passion of Christ is a millionaire one. Probably the most valuable one. Remember Mel Gibson's movie and the hysteria it arouse? One of my questions is who is the author of the Passion story. Did he get rich? Or died poor and abandoned?
We probably do not have just one author, anyway.

Second, the story was not essentially original. Far from that, it drew heavily on the Jewish scriptures and scripture-like books. The idea was full of intention and, from the onset, meant to give another destiny to the Jewish Messiah - one trajectory that would steal him away from the Jewish tradition and incorporate him into the Roman religion that was being sewed, with the exact purpose of offsetting the extraordinary penetration Judaism had achieved.

It was not just a stroke of inspiration that led to the version of the story that conquered half of the world. So it was not made up in a short time, though the attempt to rush is perceived through the many inconsistences a good reader can spot along the narrative.

Besides the authorship issue, thus, I figure out how much one must fancy crazy stories to buy the Passion. And to make this report short, I now go straight to pointing the major contradiction in the Passion of Christ saga, which has survived thanks to war, lies, heavier secret sins - a whole closet of dishonesty.

The contradiction is the following: the Catholic Church has always attributed the death of Christ to TWO different things. And it cannot be both, as you will see. One of those two things is the number one bestselling idea in the Western world, namely, God gave his only son to sacrifice in a sign of his Love to us, and so that our sins would be forgiven. I also wonder, now and then, whether our so called civilization could go on reasonably well without reinforcing such - to me all feeble - idea.

The second thing that the Church relates directly to the demise of Christ is... of course!, the Jews. The Church has also dwelled on the preaching that the Jews were the sole responsible group for the crucification of Christ. And the world really bought that idea... as well.

But how come? Could not the Catholic Church decide and pick one of those two ideas?
That is the Church! Typical. But it is clear that Christ himself could not agree with both ideas. He must be asking till now: after all, what the hell happened to me? (1) Was the Passion an act of my Father, so that your sins would be forgiven? Or (2) was my death the decision of the Jews?

I have never read, or listen to, anything addressing this core contradiciton, involving (1) the idea most adored by the masses, and (2) the most hateful idea in the bunch of similar ones that led to the still existing anti-Semitism. Both ideas - let us stress that - 'taught' by one same church, one that boasts to be the most 'true'. I came to spot such clash by thinking over on my own.

So now you are perhaps in despair. If you eventually manage to overcome that personal crisis, you will recognize you have learned a lot about the Church of the Vatican; but let the newly appointed pope never suspect you have gotten to such an understanding on his business.
