Santa Maria - the true number of deaths is at least 800, not around 235

Brazil has recently become notorious worldwide for resorting to creative accounting, that is, applying tricks to make the balance of public accounts look better. I am afraid the world, despite being aware such procedure happens to be one more evidence of the country's deep-rooted corruption, has been missing the fairly sustainable rule that a 'bad player' cannot be honest elsewhere, especially when that includes the circumstance of facing an enormous - many say 'stupid' - and avoidable disaster.
Let's make some calculations.

1. Mainstream press has said that there were at least one thousand people inside the nightclub Kiss at the time the fire broke out.

2. The same sources present these figures: 231 dead (increased today to 236 or 237) and 127 in hospital (little change due to few later reported dead, but, also, others added for showing symptons later on).

3. Then, we are left with around at least 600 brandy new 'reborns' - escaped from the blaze and did not even made a stopover at a hospital.

4. Where are these six hundred people right now? Yes, I know about the 'heroes'... Four? Five? How many others escaped without any help to show-up to cameras save and sound?

5. Six hundred - lets play with the hypothesis the 'serious' press actually delivers it as a given rather between the lines figure - ran out and reached the street... in just three minutes; four minutes time at most.

6. Then what? Who saw that crowd gathered outside Kiss? No photos of it? ! Ah! Main press just forgot to say that this crowd, calm as it 'of course' was, just shook off the dust and was almost immediately dispersed as each went home for a due rest. No messages on facebook. None of them wanted to stay there and see the outcomes. Right...

7. I could buy that if the very same so serious press had not given a lot more details that make that version simple so stupid as the disaster itself. Let's study those details.

8. Eight (8) minutes after the dangerous artifact was used on the stage, magazine Veja says that 'four volunteers were pulling the last semiconscious people out.' After that, no one was rescued (this means alive).

9. It took most people more than two minutes to realize there was fire. To make matters really awful, security guards (in Brazil you must understand these words differently) did not allow people to leave. In Veja's records, two minutes were lost in terms of time the crowd could be passing through the three (at least one witness said two instead) doors that would lead to the single large (3.5m wide) gate. How many can run out in one minute? And in two? Unfortunately, what the very magazine reports is that around three minutes after the artifact was used, people finally pushed the security guards off the way - or were carried away and so were the guards (security guards in Brazil are not to be taken as body guards, keep that in mind). It was too much people pushing: "the double of the squeezing of an crowded subway". says the magazine.

10. What happens then? According to the magazine, the firebrigate arrives, as I said before, eight minutes after the initial act (the artifact is used). The magazine does not make it clear the firefighters found anyone alive. Its narrative suggests so, but does not state. And nothing is seem outside, no crowd of soave and sound. But just a few beginning taking to private transportation by laypeople.

11. Of course, the heroes did not went inside to take anyone for they could not overcome the hundreds squezeed by the exit/entrance (only one access). What the heroes did was only pull some close to the door.

12.The magazine finally says that "files of corpses up to one meter high surrounded the firefighters inside the club."

So the bottom line: the number of people in hospital is very close to the TOTAL number of survivors. The rest is DEAD and not DECLARED SO.
