Estado de S.Paulo newspaper reports that minister Marco Aurelio Mello granted habeas corpus from his residence. So it is still subjected to appreciation by the body of the Court, which is likely to bend over the case not until a week at least has passed.
The same source has informed Whelan was still in the Bangu (district in Rio de Janeiro city) detention facilities by the time the paper's edition was closed yesterday.
