A Brazilian citizen criticizes protest banners
A citizen from Rio de Janeiro has written to the São Paulo based newspaper Folha de São Paulo and her letter is on the today (3/7) print edition of the vehicle. It reads,
The streets say 'Brazil has waken up' and ' The champion is back'. It's waken for what? To see the political class unable to grasp what we, the nation, say, as if what we dream of were irrelevant?
And the champion, where has it come back from?
It has always been here. Our country has always been a champion in corruption, in faulty health care, education, and economics, in the crawling judiciary and in insufficient public transportation. Hence, it would be preferable that Brazil were a loser and remained asleep, dreaming about better days.
